FAQ |
From what age can someone register in the program? It is recommended that students register in the beginning of Middle School. Getting familiar with the system, putting in place a long term program and knowing in advance the standards and requirements of the universities offers you an advantage comparing to someone who will join later. What is the S.A.T. test? The Standardized Achievement Test (S.A.T.) is a required test by most universities/colleges. It demonstrates your standards in English language and in Mathematics. A high score increases dramatically your chances for acceptance in a very prestigious institution and also the financial package that you will be offered. Students have many opportunities to take the test and the final higher score is the one that counts. A preparation is usually necessary in order for the student to achieve the desirable score. We offer extremely affordable options for this preparation in Thessaloniki and we can also recommend teachers or centers that can support such preparation in Athens and other cities in Greece. The students take the test in special centers in the major Greek cities. What is TOEFL? TOEFL is an exam that all international students are required to take that determines the level of your English language proficiency. More and more American institutions require the list of those who do not require SATs but they expect the student to take a TOEFL exam and score from 70-80 up to the maximum 120. Prestigious universities require at least a score of 100. What is the annual cost? The annual cost for the participation in the program is 120,00Euro. From there on in the last year (12th Grade) and during the application process there are some other fees associated (registration fee for the SATs and/or TOEFL, college application fees, etc). Some of them depend in factors that vary from family to family (family income, number of application, number of times that a student takes the tests etc). I am not involved with a sport and I don't have a special talent. Can I still earn a scholarship? Having a special athletic or artistic talent is not the only way to earn a scholarship. Good grades in the 9-12 Grades and high scores in the tests can easily earn you a scholarship that may go all the way to full tuition or even a full ride. We guide you through all this process in order for you to apply to institutions that fit your academic profile and potential but can also to meet your family's potential to support your studies. |
